***WOULD NOT RECCOMEND. We drove 2 hours to hike here for the caves and falls but were treated very poorly. The parking lot was full when we arrived so the park employees turned us away very rudely when we asked if there was anywhere else to park or hike since we had driven so far. Parking along the road is prohibited and cops were on scene issuing tickets. Spend your valuable time elsewhere***

Went here bout a week ago with my two roommates. They're both named Sam, and we were at Sam's point preserve. You could say i was with 3 sams that day. Or with two sams and walking on the other. Or with three sams, except one was in spiritual essence. Or you could also say that with Sam cubed. Anyways, the dwarf pines are super good trees. I remember last time i came here with my Latina friend and we just had such a blast in the ice caves. She's a Colombia native so she couldn't spend too long in the caves or else she would have gotten cold and started to die.

Sam's Point is a spectacular section of The Shawangunk Ridge. Rugged, filled with pitch pines and classic Shawangunk Conglomerate, a day hike here is sure to be an adventure.

Beautiful place! Not that far into it and you get an amazing view! Good for all ages! My daughter and I played on the beach for hours.

Great spot to hike. Get here early as the parking lot fills up early on the weekends. (There is no parking on the side of the road). Definitely check out the ice caves while you are here. There are many easy trails and some medium difficulty trails. Nothing too hard though. A lot of carriage trails.
